We went on a road trip throughout the island, visiting the main places. Loved it so much I have dedicated a section of my website to record my memories from that trip. I hope it will gives you a good idea of what to expect in Sicily. Staying for a night in a cottage with a hosting family and enjoying real fruits, and nice homemade food or jams in the morning, is a MUST! That was brilliant, we did that near Alcamo, about 40kms drive from Trapani. The sceneries are outstanding throughout the Island. you'll be amazed. Sicilians are kind people very helpful. We hired a car and went for a roadtrip throughout the island, it was amazing! Car costed us 170 eur for the whole week and the roads are overall really good!
