Could anyone give me some piece of info? | I would like to know from where can I go into Georgia by train and if there's any info on the Internet about the georgian rail network and schedules. Thanx kravai Maia Odisharia Post Count: 1 Msg: #2 25 days ago, April 16th 2008 | hi Jose | I'm sure you will have a nice trip! To Georgia by train you can get either from Azerbaijan or from Armenia, two border countries to the south from Georgia. I guess you will enter Georgia either from Ukraine or from Turkey, unfortunately you will not be able to use train in this case, suggest to take bus from Turkey (leaves quite frequently from Istanbul or Ankara) and ferry from ILYICHEVSK (Ukraine) - POTI/BATUMI (Georgia), deffinitely suggest to go to Batumi than to foti :) http://www.ukrferry.com/eng/services/ferry.asp for the railway, you will be able easily move within Georgia, or visit its border countries Armenia and Azerbaijan, here is website, hope you will find needed info in English, anyway you will not have problems in getting tickets directly at the stations, its not expensive :) http://www.railway.ge wish you nice journey if i can help you somehow, will be happy Maia Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 2 | ||||||||||
