It has a very pretty centre. I would certainly recommend it. If you are using public transport be sure to check on the German rail (Deutsche bahn) internet site for train passes and special offers. I live in Munich. Sometimes I buy a day pass for the trains. It covers all of Bavaria for a day and is good for 5 adults and several children. It costs only around 30 Euros.
