TJMac823 Tamara McClanahan Post Count: 5 Msg: #1 156 days ago, April 4th 2008 | DREAM VACATION ON A BUDGETWe are two women in our early 20s looking for a trip for 7-10 days to an All-Inclusive beach vacation in Mexico. I've been to Cancun and want to stay away from the nothing but touristy areas. We would like a nice mix between exploring the culture and celebrating our vacation. We are open to any and all suggestions, especially first hand experiences at the resorts. (It's nervewracking to book something off the internet with only having seen photos.) What we are looking for: Oceanfront with a swimable beach (possible surfing) Safety All - Inclusive Nightlife Culture (not just tourists) Accessibility to an airport Excursions (at an additional cost, of course) Swimming Pool Our price range is $1200 (including our flight) Flexible dates: July - September Some areas we have looked into are Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, and Playa Del Carmen. Any and all experiences, advice, and tips would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!! We hear the Iberstar is much nicer but it was out of our budget. There was a lot of culture and its a 30 minute ferry ride to Playa Del Carmen... The night life was good. There was a live band at our hotel. And on Sundays there is a local festival with a band in the main square in town it was loads of fun. The pool was nice. The only negitive is the beach is a little rocky but if you wear water shoes it is perfect and is very calm. Please feel free to check out my blogs about the vacation and ask me any questions. | Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 2 | |||||||||||
