I have to take a taxi in Istanbul in the middle of the night to get to the airport. Is it safe? If not, what are my other option?

I have bought my tickets for my trip to Amsterdam and Istanbul in May. Unfortunately, the plane is leaving Turkey very early in the morning. Now I wonder if it is safe to take a taxi in Istanbul in the middle of the night to go to the airport. Did some of you have some experience with it?

Thanks,

Renoir

Like the other guy said, make sure he puts it on the meter although, I got my fare from Sisli to Attaturk airport for just 30YTL, It's about 1 hour drive. How cheap is that !!! If you dont speak Turkish, make sure the taxi is real one, call from a hotel or get one at a rank.
