Here is where you come into play. The best advice comes from people that have the experience of being their or have done that. We are looking for the best air carrier that will charge the less $ to Manaus from Boston. We have flex time to travel. Please respond....................need your expertise. | Thanks Mr. & Mrs. Arthur G. Ana KST Kit Taylor Post Count: 35 Msg: #3 106 days ago, April 10th 2008 | The last time I was there (2004) the cheapest flight I found (starting from Seattle) routed us through DC and Sao Paulo. But we were doing that on an open-jaw excursion rate with the return flight starting in Recife. Our (Varig) return flight from Recife to Sao Paulo was late and we missed our (United) connection, but Varig got us on a Sao Paulo-Los Angeles flight and we got home sooner than if we'd made our scheduled flight. | If you have plenty of time it is possible to get to Manaus by bus from Caracas. There are also TAM flights once a day from Caracas to Manaus (and return) -- current round trip fare listed at about $500. I'm going to Manaus via Caracas in June -- but as a very long river trip via the upper Orinoco, Casiquiare, and Rio Negro. Returning in August I'll either get the TAM flight back to Caracas or the bus, depending on time, money, and inclination. Boa Viagem, KST Number of Users: 3 | Number of Posts: 3 | |||||||||||
