Before long I was wondering how others had been affected by their various experiences in different countries. Visiting Bali, London and Madrid exactly a year before each was bombed was also eerie - are some people just in the wrong place at the wrong time? | Mell Mel Fla Post Count: 4121 Msg: #3 202 days ago, March 25th 2008 | Hello Gravox :) | I learned to manage my money because I had to do it in order to be able to save up for travelling. I also learned that I could be interested in and enjoy the company of people who are not like me. I used to think that I would have nothing to talk with them about and no common interests but I discovered over time and experience that I can enjoy being with people from many cultures. I certainly feel lucky to be European with our high standard of living and human rights standards. Even though I travel a lot and enjoy at least something about every place I go I still feel predominantly European. I feel more that I belong in Europe than anyplace else.
