Hi there,

Does anyone know any answers to any of the following questions:

1. Is there a bus/train route from Seville to Gibralter?

2. Is there a bus/train route from Gibralter to Morocco/ or a day trip?

3. Is there a bus/train from Gibralter to Alicante?

4. Is there a bus/train/boat from Portimao to Gibralter direct or do you have to go via Seville?

Any comments or suggestions would be greatfully received.

Thank you

Angie

There are bus and train links all over Spain, its a wide network. The network goes into the neighbouring European countries, including Portugal.
To go from Seville to Gibraltar you can take the bus...It goes to La Lineal de la Conception. Gibraltar is an island so you cross from there.

The same from Gibraltar to Alicante, you probably need to go from La Lineal.

Internal flights are relatively cheap within Spain and Portugal, there are several budget airlines e.g. Ryanair. Easyjet, air Europa, Vueling... So you could look into flying from Portugal to Spain.

Gibraltar is an island, south of Europe. Morocco is on the north coast of Africa. To cross between the two you would need to take a ferry. One runs from Gibraltar to Tangiers in Morocco. Apparently it's once a week but I'm not sure of that. You can also take a day trip from Tarifa on the South coast of Spain, and perhaps from some of the other resorts. The ferry website is: www.frs.es

I would suggest that you pick up a travel guide to Spain and have a read to get an idea of the routes and distances etc. You can sometimes borrow them from the library which saves you the expense of buying one.
