Hi, I am Lily, a Chinese, an English-speaking tour guide in Shanghai (PRC). I am fluent in English & Mandarin and speak a little bit of French.

I’d like to be your tour guide in Shanghai. I am well familiar with all the interesting places in Shanghai, as well as its surroundings such as Suzhou, Hangzhou.

I also have brought tourist groups to different cities such as Beijing, Xian, Dunhuang, Urumqi, Xingjiang Uygur autonomous region, Zhangjiajie, Chansha, etc. But most of the time I work in Shanghai.

I love travelling. I went to most cities in southeast of China, like Hong Kong, Canton, Shenzhen, Beihai, Fuzhou, Xiamen, Ningbo, etc. And other countries in the Far East like Thailand, Vietnam, as well as Europe: France, Belgium.

I am currently in France until 10th April 2008. If you are interested to visit Shanghai after this date and should you need a tour guide, please feel free to contact me:

Hello Jane :)

Is that jazz band still playing at the Peace Hotel in Shanghai every night. I really enjoyed listening to them while having a coffee in the foyer. I dont usually like jazz but they were very very good.
When I was there the band members were already old so maybe they are not all still alive??

Hello Mel,

I'm sorry to tell you that the Peace Hotel now is closed temporarily for refurbish. Maybe after another several months it will re-open again. Yes, I agree with you, the old jazz band is very nice. : )

Well so long as it does reopen..... :) Hopefully they will refurbish it in the same style.

By the way, people can contact u via the private message system on this site. Just click on the persons name at the side of one of their posts and u will then see a link where u can exchange private messages with the person.
