| Need accommodations for the month of July in Munich. Oh & any Argentine or Neuvo Tango in Munich? | ||||||||||||||||||
maztec J G Post Count: 3 Msg: #1 162 days ago, March 12th 2008 | I am doing a study abroad in Munich this July. It will be near the Max Planck Institute. My program is from July 7 to August 2. I am hoping to have a place to stay from about July 1 through August 3, give or take a day on either end. I hear it is possible to find a place for a reasonable cost [under 500 Euro], but I am not finding them. I think part of my problem is that I would like to stay near where I will be studying and I am allergic to cats [only places I have found all have cats]. | Any tips on where to look to find a place? I would like to get it booked as soon as possible, so I am not doing a last minute search. Finally - anyone know of any decent Tango dancing in or near Munich? I have been dancing Tango for 7 years and find it to be a great outlet and way to meet people. I know Berlin apparently has a great Tango scene, but what about Munich? Thanks! Unfortunately, I would not be asking if they did provide assistance. It appears to be the nature of Law School's in the U.S. to leave their students spinning as much as possible with setting things up. All they have provided is a list of websites that "might be useful" and an admonition to "do it as soon as possible to save cost." Despite that - none of the sites list rooms available in July. I contacted a few and they told me to contact them, "a few days before your trip." Which obviously does not work! | Thus, my pleading for help. :) Thanks!
