Looking for a unique hotel in Ecuador

I am planning on going to Ecuador sometime soon. I would like to know about any extremely unique hotels/motels anywhere in Ecuador. Price is not an issue and neither is location. Thanks!

You should check out some of the very grand old haciendas to be found in the Andean region of ecuador -there is a list at www.my-quito.com/Haciendas.html . Elsewhere maybe you should look for lodges in the cloud forest/jungle/coast regions. Especially check out places to stay around Mindo, and also on the coast near Machalilla National Park (but not in Puerto Lopez).
