Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions about beachs or if there is a really great beach in Ecuador? Thanks.

Canoa and Montanita are both really good. Very chilled out and good for surfing. Montanita especially is very tourist-orientated with loads of hostals and bars. If you want something a bit quieter Los Frailes is really beautiful in one of the national parks but can be a bit hard to get to.

Salinas is perhaps the most well known of all of Ecuador's beaches... and also the most expensive! you can read a few more info about Ecuador's beaches here

We're not don't really know how to surf but we think it would be fun to learn how to. We're just going to have fun and relax though...

If you want a beach to yourself, then go to Los Frailes on the coast at the Machalilla National Park
