How amazing would it be to see travel photos from 20 years ago?

Already some of my 5 year old shots are from places that have changed beyond recognition; so if you have shots that you can scan in (best method), or take a photo of the photo with a digital camera (use the macro setting and in bright light) - then I'd love to see them on travelblog.

Remember to back-date the blog entries - we have dates back to 1970 - if you have anything earlier you'd like to post - let me know I can update the code to allow for this!

Any other ideas for this?

Post a link to any historic travels here as well

Coming Back

Parents' Weekend Adventures--1981 to 1982

These photos are from over 25 years ago. Pretty cool when I first saw them. They are my parents and their friends exploring outside of Medellin, Colombia. I only appear in some of the photos--my mom being pregnant with me and one at a party. I enjoyed them greatly. Hope you do too.

I've got one from 1968. It is the outside of the flat I lived in when I was in my early 20's. I was back in London 2002/2003 and went to see the old building. Now it is expensive flats with a "resident porter" instead of the guy who looked after the building, and shook his head at our antics. Now with a lift instead of the 79 stairs we ran up and down. It was funny to see, but also a bit disappointing after all those years.

Memories: 1 Warrington Gardens, London.
