However, the <snip> market is red hot. The buildings, condos and beachfront property that they are constructing are beautiful and have superb architecture. Panama is uniquely positioned to become a greater hub than what it currently is. So the answer to your question is not if its going to be the next Hong Kong or not, but will the government continue fostering investment and will outside investors continue to flock to this beautiful country. Also, Hong Kong is particularly characterized by its high tech activity an area where I think Panama still lacks. | [Edited: 23:01 - Mell - Promotional posting is against the forum rules. ] Panama Patrizia Patrizia Pinzon Post Count: 13 Msg: #3 99 days ago, July 7th 2008 | Thatīs a great comment, thanks for posting! As many country within the region, Panama struggles with positioning itself in the path of technology. However, it has made great advances, especially in the Ciudad del Saber where the government has created a Tecnopark which provides tax incentives and other type of incentives to technology companies. I worked at Senacyt for a while, which is their technology bureau and I saw wonderful projects on all sorts of fields ranging from pure investigation on science fields (creating laboratories for DNA investigation) to cleaner energy and even providing computers and trainning in far away provinces. The key to it all is continuity! | Number of Users: 2 | Number of Posts: 3 | |||||||||||
