 florencesophie florence Post Count: 2 Msg: #1 210 days ago, December 8th 2007 | I am preparing to go to Tanzania on December 22 for 2 weeks. | I have done all the mandatory injections and am preparing my personal pharmacy in order to cope with anything I could get. As we will sleep in "bivouac" in tents, I guess I won't have any electricity to recharge my camera. Therefore I took lots of batteries and bought a huge memory card. I will treat all my clothes with a special product against the mosquitos. However I am a bit tensed, since I am scared of little animals like spiders, scorpios !!!! I guess the organisator will have evrything for our tents to feel safe sleeping by night. Have you any tips for our clothes to be safe : should we put them in plastic bags? I am not experienced with tenting in TZ. If you are concerned for safe clothes, line your bags with plastic bag or use zipper vinyl organizers. I was rather dissappointed with the amount of small insects etc that I saw while camping... there is alot more in central america/asia. So, You should be fine, as long as your check your tent when your getting into it at night. Your clothes will be fine, just shake them out before you put anything one and check your shoes before you put them on.. thats it really, you'll have great time! Northern TZ is beautiful... so nice i'm also heading abck in a few weeks!
