Post Count: 15 Msg: #2 351 days ago, October 30th 2007 | Hi. Hope this helps... | Duty free limit: 200 cigarettes, 200 tobacco sticks, 50 cigars, and 200 gram loose tobacco. Duty on over the limit: $15 per carton of cigarettes, $7 per 200 tobacco sticks, $6 per 200g loose tobacco. In addition, you will have to pay provincial tobacco tax and provincial sales tax. (Sorry, I don't have specifc tax information for the different provinces.) Finally, if you go over the personal $ exemption limit, you will have to pay GST.
