lostwon Aaron Kraft Post Count: 7 Msg: #1 751 days ago, October 21st 2007 | Hey all, Im planning a RTW trip and will be checking out PNG for an undetermined length of time. Id love to do as much trekking and diving as possible, but Im looking for some first hand advice of where to do these activities and typical prices I should be expecting. I have of course heard great things about the Kokoda track, but not so much about some of the other treks such as the Blackcat etc. Anybody checked these jaunts out? How about diving? Heeeelp! Thanks | around_the_world Laetitia Lair Post Count: 114 Msg: #2 641 days ago, February 8th 2008 | Hi there, | Looking at going to PNG for trekking and diving too, did you get any luck in your search for information? ... Cheers jett Giles ross Post Count: 3 Msg: #3 593 days ago, March 28th 2008 | There is a guy called Joseph Connai who lives in Ambunti station on the Sepik. Just get there from Wewak on a PMV. Everyone knows him. He can take you on a trek back in time. I paddled downriver with him for 2 weeks up past May river. You might be able to find him through Ralf in Wewak but they've kinda lost contact. Jo will look after you for any length of trip, his english is great. Good luck. | jett Giles ross Post Count: 3 Msg: #4 593 days ago, March 28th 2008 | Oh, and for diving there are lots of cool wrecks around Kavieng and Rabaul in the Island provinces. Went up there on my last trip and hiked from north to South of New Ireland. Good honest fun! | around_the_world Laetitia Lair Post Count: 114 Msg: #5 584 days ago, April 5th 2008 | Excellent !!
