I've a good tip for you (at least I think) I'm working on a project for poor children in the Sacred Valley in Peru (between Cusco and the Machu Picchu) in Urubamba. The project helps over 200 children and young adults to get a better life. On the terrain were we are working, there are bungalows where you can stay. By staying there you are helping the project ánd you'll have a wonderfull time. I will show you around. Urubamba is a perfect starting point for daytrips to impressive Inca ruins such as Machu Picchu and Ollantaytambo. So, if you are in Cusco, think about us and the children of the valley. If you don't want to sleep at the project you can come by to visit us. You're welcome. the website: www.kuychi.org is not in english but the pictures tell you a lot. It was in the Miraflores section and was run by an English speaking man, Angelo. The name of the hostel is Hostal Tradiciones S.R.I. The price was reasonable - maybe around $20 US and included breakfast. Angelo had someone pick us up at the airport and he acted as our guide in Lima. He made all of our arrangements for travel to Cuzco and to Machu Picchu. We are returning to South America in January 2008. Good luck! | Ruth from Wales Ruth John Post Count: 104 Msg: #4 325 days ago, September 30th 2007 | Great hostel in Buenos Aires = the Garden House in San Telmo. | Number of Users: 4 | Number of Posts: 4 | ||||||||||||
