Though I didn't specifically looks for cameras in Cairo - I vaugely remember that many of the reputable brands readily available throughout places such as the UK may not be available at all in Egypt. Also be aware of warranty issues - it is safer to pay a bit more and get an international warranty or a warranty applicable to your home country, then to purchase a cheaper one with a warranty limited to your country of purchase.
