My wife and I are traveling to Spain and France in Late February/Early March (2/22-3/9). We\'re flying to Madrid, staying two nights in Madrid, four nights in Barcelona, and ending the trip in and around Paris for 4 nights. It\'s the time in between Barcelona and Paris that we're having trouble deciding where to go. We have debated Valencia and Seville (at most two days each), and possibly a stop in Toledo. Any advice on those three cities (Valencia, Seville and Toledo)? Is it worth the stop, as well as time to get there? Thanks.

you might want to spend an extra night in Madrid, and take a day trip to Toledo. We didn't but I wish we did.
You'll love Barcelona, it's great and you picked the right amount of time to go and be able to see all the good stuff and relax while doing it.
After BCN, I highly recommend Seville. Seville is awesome! Spend at least two nights (but probably 3) in this gorgeous Andalusian city. There's lots to explore, and as it's Spain, you won't want to rush. Take a nice relaxed attitude, enjoy a bunch of tapas bars, walk the old town sections thoroughly. Also, from there you can take a day trip to see the fabulous Mezquita in Cordoba (1 hour or so by train) and also visit the beautiful Jewish Quarter. Also try to get to Grenada for at least one night's stay to visit the Alhambra and the cathedral and the old Albaycin neighborhood.
Check out www.vueling.com for super cheap flights from Barcelona to Seville, and from there to Paris. You can find flights as low as 20euros depending on the day and time. They also have a page for hotel deals.
Have a great trip. We went in Sept/Oct of last year and had a fabulous vacation.

the best u can do is to stay more nights in Madrid, and vistit the places around it , in one day, you can visit "San Lorenzo del Escorial" a big monastery in the mountains near Madrid where are the tombs of all the kings of spain since Felipe II, and in the same day vistit Segovia,(the roman acueduct, the alcazar), in other day Avila or Salamanca (or both), and other day more for Toledo visit, all this places are near form Madrid, and well comunicated by train, you could go to Seville in high-speed train since Madrid-atocha (central station). 4 days in BCN is too much if you want to see more thins

I can't help you much with Spain, but on your trip to Paris is the Loire Valley in France. The history and architecture of the region are fantastic. The Chateaus (mostly castles to most of us) and grounds are unbelievable and the culture is unique. If you happen to like wine, it is also one of the most overlooked sources of great vinyards in the world. In and around Tours and Blois would be great places to stay. We have stayed at several of the chateaus in the area and were overwhelmed by each in turn. If you are interested, I would be glad to share other information with you.

I went to Madrid for 5 days and Barcelona for 3 days in March and loved both. They are really different cities and I personally liked Barcelona better. I'm actually thinking about going back next year with my boyfriend. I really thought Barcelona was a great city, very easy to navigate around (as is Madrid) and lots to see. As far as what to see, I absolutely loved Park Guell!! It's a really cool park but it's pretty big so I would set aside a few hours to see it. Definitely check out the Casa Batllo, La Pedrera, Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter and Sagrada Familia, too. For an awesome view of the city, take the cable car to Montjuic. On the hill you'll find the Olympic Stadium, Botanical Gardens, the Castell de Montjuic (which is a fort at the top of Montjuic). If you have any other questions let me know! Have fun!

If you visit Barcelona, you have to visit Sitges (just 30 minutes by train, I live in Sitges), probably one of the most beautiful Catalan coast towns. You can find information about Sitges everywhere (www.google.com, www.sitgesguide.com, www.spain-travel-guide.net/Sitges.htm). It's a wonderful one day visit.
