Chri Christine Marchese Post Count: 1 Msg: #1 567 days ago, January 31st 2007 | Hi friends | We went to Laos in december and hoped to be able to assist to some of the Hmong New Year celebrations....after weeks of research we had been informed that they would start around the 10th december. Once arrived in the northern part of Laos some village people told us it would probably be around the 20th.... Evidently the date changes every year...does anybody know how it is worked out (depending on the moon for ex. )??? We would like to go back - not only for Hmong New Year, but because we fell in love with Laos and its friendly and peaceful people...it\'s all lovely - from north to south, hills and rivers - nature and culture and not yet ruined by tourism.
