I am thinking of joining a tour to Maltas to visit the Neolithic Temples and Goddess Sacred Sites in Malta and Gozo with these people: http://www.neolithictours.com

Has anyone ever been on such tours and if so, what was your experience and their service like? The Spring Equinox Tour sounds fascinating and the tour is extensive visiting Hagar Qim and Mnajdra, Hypogeum and Tarxien Temples, Skorba and Hagrat, Ggantija in Gozo and Ghar Dalam as well as the Archaeological museum in Valletta.

Thanks a lot for your input.

Hi Poseidon

I've heard very positive things about such tours. They seem to be very well organized, the guides are very knowledgeable and most of the sites are in very good shape.

Here's an interesting article you might enjoy reading: The Tarxien Temples.

I am from Malta but have never heard of this company. however, all Malta tour operators have to be registered and all tour guides must have a license. This rule is pretty strictly adhered to as the fine is over 1000 Euros. In fact so strictly is this law enforced that one well-meaning history professor once put some extra time and was taking his students around Valletta. Ironically, although he was obviously much better versed in the history of Malta than standard tour guides, he was still fined! Visit http://www.onlyinmalta.com for a real photographic indepth view of other funny Maltese stuff. Enjoy your trip!
