Hey everyone. A buddy and I are going to be in Amsterdam for 3 nights. Im looking for a hotel that is no more than 10 minutes walking distance from Centraal station.

At the same time, Id rather it *not* be a party hostel. Can anyone recommend such a place , if it exists ?

Ive done a lot of research, and people seem to point to the StayOK Stadsdoelen, but Ive read some sketchy reviews on it.

Same with Flying Pig, and The BUlldog. Anyone here with personal experiences that they would care to share ?

Thanks !

Hmm. if you were willing to take a 10 min trolley ride from centraal station, I'd recommend the HI Vondelpark hostel. Its pretty quiet and I stayed in a pleasant 6 bed room that had a nice view. I would not recommend the other HI hostel which is next to the red light district as that one is dingier and you share a room with 19 other ppl. However, that one is probably a 10 min walk from centraal station.

Hi Canadian Traveller,

I would advise you to check out HostelBookers. You can find the most appropiate hostel in Amsterdan for you. Most of the hostels are center located and they are rated by people who have stayed in Amsterdam, so you can have a better "opinon" about them.

Enjoy your trip to Admsterdan,
