| Need a place to travel for 6 days prior to meeting a friend in Buenos Aires. | |||||||||||||||||||||

I will be meeting my girlfriend in Buenos Aires Nov 6 for 11 days, but want to travel by myself (male mid- 20s) for 6 days prior to meeting her in BA. Can anyone give some good options as to where I should go before hand traveling alone? Patagonia, Peru, Bolivia? I don't know much about any of the places, I am just looking to check out a new Country/city for 6 days before traveling to BA. I will be heading to BA from Mendoze, but am not sure where to go next. I considered going to Punta del Este, Uruguay, but this is at least a 7 hour trip. Do you know of a 3 hour trip that I can do for 2 nights and then head back to BA?
