I'd like to arrive from Bangkok to Perth around September-October, buy a car and drive along the coast To Melbourne and then to Sydney. I'd like to buy a tent and sleep in it from time to time (to save money). My plan is to do that in 3 months. Is it enough time? Would it be a good way to see Australia? September-October is a nice time in Perth to start and the weather will be good for camping along the whole journey, though things can get a bit warm in December. | In fact, I think you have so much time you probably can take a few detours around Perth (north to Namburg National Park and south to Pemberton and the surrounding forests) and some good wandering around Victoria as well (Echuca, Bendigo and the "Man from Snowy River" country around Corryong). There are plenty of camping spots along the way, but things are a bit sparse between Kalgoolie in Western Australia and Port Augusta in South Australia.
