I plan to hopefully see a few competitive games and gain a grasp of what its like to support a team there. Im learning my trade as a Freelance Journalist and plan to do a feature on the subject (ie a comparison with a British game from a fans perspective). You just cannot get that feel here in Delhi or around. But yes..there is one city, where i have seen good football grounds and really good football atmos. I am talking about GOA, which has a unique football culture, thanks to its portuguese and english colonial roots for three centuries. Inidan clubs like Mohan began are from West Bengal although they will not be upto the level one sees in Europe......If you are looking for material for your articles...please do visti Kolkatta (Calcutta) thats the state capital of West Bengal ..and there people are crazy about footbal compared to other parts of country.... But please be aware they might not be upto the European standards.....
