There is a group of eight of us that are staying in Manuel Antonio from June 13th to June 20th, 2009. Can anyone tell me specifically what to expect of the weather. What are the temperatures like and what times of the day is it most likely to rain?

We are going to be spending a day or two exploring the national park and doing a canopy tours as well as some ATV action. Should I bring my hiking boots?

I am also open to any and all advise anyone wants to throw my way. We are flying into San Jose and renting a house and a car so we will be looking for groceries to stock up on when we get into town. Thanks in advance for any and all suggestions.

Take care.

Hi there,
June is the rainy season, so you can never be sure exactly what the weather is going to do. but dont worry it is normally lovely and sunny in the morning, so try and program your activities for the morning or early afternoon. The rain normally comes in at 3 or 4 in the afternoon and we normally get an hour or so of rain. It is too hot for rain jackets through, but un umbrella is your best bet.
For shopping Super Mas in the center of quepos is the largest supermarket in town and you can pick up most thing there, and they have a good bakery section. However for fresh seafood I would recommend going to MarTec in the covered market opposite supermas this is a small kiosk and they have the best, freshest saefood in town. Also if you are looking for meat, supermas has a good section or a couple doors down there is a good butchers.
In Manuel Antonio, Super Josephs is great, though a little pricer, they are good for extras and also have good fruit and veg.
I think a pair or sneakers is better than heavy hiking boots for ATVs or canopy, treking sandals are good for the park.
Have an awesome trip!
