Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding VISA's. I want to go to the Uk and then find a job nannying, but I cant go on a working VISA because for that you need to have a job secured first. And as for going as a tourist, I need to prove I am coming back within six months (when I don\\\'t plan to)
What do I do?????

Hello Tammy

You might be able to get a nanny job without a work permit. That is what I did in New York. Of course that would mean working illegally and all the risks that go with that.

But, I doubt that all Australians have jobs before going to the UK. I met lots of them when I lived in London. They seemed to just have found jobs when they arrived. Not sure how this worked with regards to getting the visa. Hopefully, an Australian who has worked in England will comment on this thread.

Can't you get a working holiday type visa? I think that's what most people do.

The visa I need is a called a Tier 5 Youth Mobility Visa. Its a 2 year visa that gives me total freedom when im there. But im pretty sure i need a position secured first for me to get it, does anyone know if this is correct?

I doubt if you need to have a position secured beforehand. You could try phoning the UK consulate to check. :)
