Heredia would be my choice. The National University is there. Its a nice small town, and has very good weather because of the elevations of maybe 3,000 feet, plus close enough to San Jose. Not too many Gringos there. I ran a travel agency to Costa Rica (out of Atlanta, Ga. ) for many years and now I write a travel blog for Costa Rica. also I have some very good articles about safety there | (By way I hear Heredia is pretty safe compared to say San Jose.) I invite you to check it out at <snip> Please ask me questions, I will be very happy to answer. At end of blog post simply click on reply or no comment (should say comment, I need to work on getting it corrected) Good luck Ann [Edited: 08:38 - Mell ] Bohemiman Willy J Post Count: 3 Msg: #6 38 weeks ago, April 7th 2009 | Hi Ann... thanks for the help, I can't get to that blog of yours its been <snipped> away from your post. If you go to a beach city there will be a bunch of rich gringos who don't even bother learning Spanish.
