| i am going with a friend to indonesia for about two months and we want a fantastic holiday with plenty of sun bathing opertunities and also culture and history. does anyone know where to go? anyone done it before? we have a budget of around £2000 and £2500 altogether. It's a nice place and from there you can easily visit Prambanan, Borobudur and Mt Merapi. For the budget you own, Dayak Land Tour will be a good choice or if you are interested, there's a Jungle River Cruise. For sunbathing, there's some beaches here, quite lonely ones, if you don't like those with the crowd. If you have any questions, please let me know. There are short write ups of the different cities with pretty good info. | Personally, if ti is your first time, stick to Java, Bali and Lombok. Must sees include Borobodur, Prambanan, Mount Bromo (Java), and of course Bali. In Lombok, its diving and snorkeling at Gili Trawangan. For your information your could start from Jakarta and sightseeing in Jakarta for 2 days then fly by train to Yogyakarta. In Yogyakarta you could observe a cluture and heritage by visiting Borobudur and Prambanan Temple and many other historical culture the form Yogyakarta overland to Bromo to see sunrice then drive to Ijen Plateau for hiking to see sulphur then cross Bali for Sunbathing on the beach. In Bali you could discover in 2 week the culture and way of Balinese life. Then Cross Bali to Lombok Island for Beaches and culture. If you still have time you cloud visit Borneo to see orang utan and Komodo Island to see Komodo Giant Lizard. For detail of the program you could email me.
