Adventures of a Travel Addict Ann Jaimi Post Count: 28 Msg: #1 391 days ago, October 29th 2008 | I'm a Tamil female from Canada so I'm a little nervous about travelling south India on my own. I have the advantage of knowing the language (except with a Sri Lankan accent) in Tamil nadu but I also want to check out Kerala as well. | What are some cities/villages that I should not miss? The plan so far is to fly into Chennai, head to Madurai for some volunteer work for a week or two, then head towards Kerala to visit Cochin. I also want to see Bangalore and Pondicherry somewhere in between and I'm planning to couchsurf so I'd meet people. Suggestions?? blueriver Beautiful green place in South India with Mountains,River and Sea... Welcome to INDIA JILIZ Mozzo Tomas Post Count: 9 Msg: #9 362 days ago, November 26th 2008 | I traveled in a whirlwind tour over South India by car with a friend. Unless you're a devout Hindu, I'd say Trichy and Madurai are not worth the visit. Kanyakumari, the Periyar Tiger Reserve, Mysore and Kochi are definitely worth it, as are Mahabalapuram and Pondicherry. Beyond that, I didn't find Tamil Nadu to be that interesting, perhaps it will be a completely different experience for you though since you speak the language. | Lemme know if you need any more detailed info.
