This will be my first trip to Europe and I am planning a trip from Barcelona to Paris for a duration of 1 week (after Christmas to New Year) by train. Along the way I hope to stop by Carcassonne to see the castle. | Is there any other place that you can suggest to visit along the trip? As I will be traveling by train, what kind of pass do you think I should purchase? Please feel free to advice if you know any affordable accommodation or places to eat.
