Brazil Carnaval 2009 Rio and Bahia traveling to both!

Hi everyone me and my boyfriend would like to travel to Brazil Carnivals Rio and Bahia which are the best alternatives to go?

Hi everyone me and my boyfriend would like to travel to Brazils two Carnivals Rio and Bahia, Which place would be the best to go firsts and how many days to go like 3 or 4 days in Rio or 3 or 4 days in Bahia or also want to get some Sightseeing and Shopping in. please recommend any advice and tour plans or packages

Carnival is the most expensive time to visit Brazil. You will most likely not be able to find anyplace to stay for only 3-4 days in Rio during Carnival unless you are willing pay for 7-10 days.. I don't know about Bahia but I would guess it is the same there.

There is one only company I know that takes people to both cities during carnival. its called www.toursgonewild.com, they provide airfares, hotels, private guides for the crew, party shirts( abadas), and they take you to clubs to the Vip section withtouth waiting in line and covers charges are already uncluded.. check it out maybe you'll like it...

For the traditional and more hometown Carnival, Salvador, Bahia is by far a better experience. Rio's carnival is very commercial, similar to going to a sporting event. I will be in Salvador
