I have heard that this is a decent site, and some friends of ours have used this agency before. We've never used a travel agent ourselves to pre-book tickets - we have always ended up booking our train tickets at the station or through our hostel. I believe that train tickets in China are available about 5 days in advance normally, and we've always managed to get train tickets 2 or 3 days before we've wanted to travel. Most hostels and hotels can book train tickets for you. If you have your accommodation already booked, you could ask your hotel about it. It's normally easier using your hotel than going into the train station yourself. Most train stations in the major cities in China have an English-speaking ticket counter, but we've often had problems doing it this way. This website is also useful for general train travel info: www.seat61.com Hope this helps. travelingislife BennyZhou Post Count: 26 Msg: #3 135 days ago, August 27th 2008 | The famous tour company in Beijing is BTG International Travel & Tours.
