We are due to be meeting a friend of ours in Tokyo in early September. We are currently in Fukuoka having already been to Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe and Hiroshima. We are planning on going from here to Nagasaki, then Beppu, however past that we are short of cheap-ish places to travel to. We plan to go to Nagoya before Tokyo, but we are still left with around a two week gap that needs filling. | Does any kind individual out there have any suggestions of cool places to stay for a few nights? It has many in expensive rio-kans as well as a number of great beaches. It is not nearly as built up as Ito, but that is what makes it nice. | Ito is over-crowded and built in the 1970's.
