ksexton Kimberly Sexton Post Count: 4 Msg: #1 156 days ago, August 6th 2008 | I am going on a small 3 1/2 day road trip from Charleston, SC to Asheville, NC in 5 days. I've been to Asheville NUMEROUS times with my parents and of course it was always a straight shot there and back. Now I am going on my own, and I want to see a little bit of South/North Carolina at the same time. I am taking 1-26 westbound for most of the trip.... I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on where I should stop on my way up there. I am trying not to get tooooo far off track, but if the site is worth it, I'm willing to detour.
