Buenos Aires Trip

Currently in Recife Brasil and planning a trip for 2-4 weeks to Buenos Aires.

My fiance and myself are staying in Recife Brazil for 4 months and we are looking at taking an extended trip to Argentina. We know the best way to get there is by air, but wondering if 2 weeks is too little or if 4 weeks is too long, and what recommendations are out there for accommodations. We are on a 18 month journey around the world, so money is sparse, so trying to find the best bang for our buck. Thank you in advance for help with this.
