6 of us are planning on traveling to Cambodia (Angkor Wat) 3 days and Vietnam for approx 8 days Next April. We have booked flights to Thailand start and finish. I would like some advise where to go to from here. Do we fly straight in to Siem Reap then in to Vietnam or fly in to Vietnam first then Cambodia. Any suggestions on itineraries or flights/airlines around Viet and Cam would be great. So far it looks like 3 days Cambodia, 2 days Mekong Delta, 2 days Saigon, 2 days Hoi an/Hue and 2 days Hanoi. We are just not sure where to start. We would love to spend a lot longer but all have work commitments so yes we are cutting it fine as it will only be 2 weeks in total we are away.

hi,
As me, You'd arrive Hanoi first(2 or 3days in hanoi), then fly to Hue, Hue to Hoi An by bus. From Danang(Danang - Hoi An 25km) fly to Sai Gon .
The best domestic airlines in vietnam is vietnamairlines. From Sai Gon take a trip follow Mekong delta river and out of Vietnam entry Cambodia(phnompenh or Siem Riep).
Have a good trip

Consider using overnight sleeper trains to get around Vietnam. They're actually quite comfortable, cheap and get you to your destination early in the morning and drop you in the middle of town. Flying internally is sometimes a bit of a false economy as you have to get to airports in advance of the flight and then get into town from the airport when you land. It's possible to lose the best part of a day doing this which is not good when you are tight for time.
We did a tour from Phnom Penh into the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam. Included boat from PP into Vietnam and then 2 days in the Delta. It was cheap and was really worth it. There are more details on our blog I think.
For general flights have a look at Air Asia to see if they have anything which would be useful to you. We've used them a couple of times and found them to be fine.

Have fun.
