shrutic shruti Post Count: 1 Msg: #1 136 days ago, May 29th 2008 | My husband and I are planning a trip to Naples and the amalfi coast region in August/Dept this year, we will be there for 5 nights, can anyone suggest the best way to spend these days and where to visit? | Skylark Peaced Off Post Count: 32 Msg: #2 135 days ago, May 29th 2008 | Sorrento is the most popular location. The beach is nothing to write home about, but the town is a McStarBKFC-free zone. From Naples you get the Circumvesuviana train all the way round the bay. It goes though Ercolana (where the ruins of Herculaneum are) and Pompeii. If your flight is to Naples you'll find that there may be a connecting bus direct to Sorrento. From Sorrento, the island of Capri can be done as a day trip. | queenb Kate Webb Post Count: 1 Msg: #3 135 days ago, May 29th 2008 | The amalfi can be very busy. I've been looking into a trip next year and have been checking out tour operators so that they can have all the details worked out for me. | This is one company that I am considering. They might have some useful information for you: http://www.ciaotours.com/campania/campania.htm I hear it is beautiful. Have a great time. Its breathtaking and the most romantic place in Italy (I think). Capri is nice too, but Positano will take your breath away. | Number of Users: 4 | Number of Posts: 4 | ||||||||||||
