David Post Count: 2 Msg: #1 74 days ago, May 13th 2008 | Two active senior citizens will have two weeks, from Sept. 26-October 10, 2008 in the general area surrounding Montreal and Quebec City. We'd like to spend some time in the two major cities, but also time in the countryside, perhaps staying several days in an inn by a lake. Any suggestions, particularly about the stay in the countryside, will be much appreciated. | Thanks! meeting point Steph Post Count: 7 Msg: #2 72 days ago, May 15th 2008 | Hi there! | Well you can check out Montreal Travel Guide and Quebec City Travel Guide for some useful info on both destinations. But for your weekend out in the countryside it will be perfect timing for the changing of the leaves! You can go to a couple of places. Here they are: 1. Mont Tremblant area - it's a ski resort in winter but there are loads of hikes and lakes to do and visit in the area which is really nice. 2. You can go to the Eastern Townships and find a nice inn there, it's mountains and pleny of lakes. You'll like that too. I would recommend somewhere to stay but I don't know any. Maybe you can check the websites of Mont Tremblant and Mont Orford out for some accommodation. the links are below: Mont Tremblant - That's North Mont Orford - Eastern Townships geezerger Wm.
