I was in Thailand last May and June. The rainy season is not as bad as many think it is. Most of the rain conveniently falls at night. During the day there are lots of warm sunny hours with a few hours of rain. Now and again there is a whole day of rain and that really is now and again unless you get very unlucky. One problem might be if you want to get to the islands by boat. Sometimes during the rainy season the seas are too rough so the boats dont go.
