I’m really gonna miss going to our timeshare cottage, but it’s gotta be done. I asked a friend about it but he gave me a gloom-and-doom about how impossible it’s gonna be to send my contract on its way. Is it really that bad? | What kinds of options are there (sorry, I haven’t been able to do a lot of research, my nostalgia makes me lethargic :P )? Am I still going to end up with maintenance fees and all the crap that made me want to sell in the first place? One of the firms I was contacted by suggested a title transfer, and they didn’t even want detailed info on my timeshare, just saying that “hey, we’ll take it no questions asked.” What’s up with that? planonit Jerry Varapetra Post Count: 3 Msg: #2 55 days ago, May 11th 2008 | Your friend has a rather pessimistic outlook. But he has a point. Not a lot of people want to take on new financial burdens, and like it or not, that’s what a timeshare is (positive benefits notwithstanding), so the market for buyers might look bare. | There's a forum called timeshare consumer group here with some info. From the info I could glean it seems to say “keep your eyes open for these telltale signs, and you’ll end up OK” for those considering a title transfer for their timeshare.
