day four

marble arch primark on a weekend is like a turkish kebabhouse at sundown during ramadam. take out the religious curteosy held between customers, though, and add the vicious consumerism that primark draws out from its patrons and you might understand why this place is nothing short of a shitfight. and truth be told i imagine its not just the weekends that see this frenzy.

after an afternoon of being pushed, shoved, and wiped with the sweat of a thousand sun-stroked londoners, i crawled out of the store and collapsed in a heap on a corner of Hyde Park. this underpaid waitressing job has a lot to answer for - it was the two pairs of shoes, pencil skirt, belt and two shirts needed for work that sent me into primark in the frist place. and i'd already done a load of work shopping the day before.

then suddenly enters alex, this comical french twat who introduces himself on my park corner. he has nothing to do for a few hours and neither do i, so we walk and talk, have a drink, walk and talk some more and end up going through picadilly circus, over to trafalgar square and down to the river. saw quite a lot of the city which was nice.

he's woefully into himself but he was very entertaining so i gave him my number and might see him again. if he decides my company is good enough for his perfect self, that is.

before all this, spent the morning roaming with elle, a girl from aubrey. saw parts of soho which i really liked and walked quite a bit of oxford street. turns out its really cheap to buy a pre-packaged meal in the foodcourt of M&S and i finally got some greem vegetables that way.

went to a wizard bar up the end of putney high street last night, citizen smith i think?? kind of reminded me of home; maybe a cross between wine bar and the norfolk. found a place to live in leytonstone, went for a viewing yesterday and i really like the area. moving in on tuesday i think. the rent is 85p a week but its a decent house.

also, bought some hair conditioner so hopefully the straw now growing from the top of my head will be semi-decent again soon.
