Hi everyone
the reasone i have not written is that it has been to expensive to use the internet or the internet has been done. I have just had dinner and it is 9.00pm in Athens. I am enjoying the greek food. Yesterday for lunch I had octoplus and that was ok. I have tried a lot of sweets but do not know what they are called. I am not sure of how much weight i have put on but who cares I am on holiday. Diet when i get back home. To day we visited two Monasteries in Meteora, the monks who built these monasteries were either very brave and strong or plan insane. there are 7 monasteries now but there were a lot more over the years they have colasped. I have some excellent photos.
The crusie seems such a long time ago here are my impression of the MV Cristal
It had 10 levels
Deck 10 was a veiwing lounge 360 degrees and disco at night. and a sun bathing area in the open this is where i took a lot of sunset photo. We have better sun sets in Bundaberg.
Deck 9 - pool was in the middle and viewing from 2 sides you could also eat here. I spent a far amount of time here.
Deck 8 was another lounge, gamble room, entertainment theatre and restruant.
Deck 7,6 & 5 were cabins. Deck 5 also had the informantion desk, duty free shoping and restruant - here i had most of my meals. 3 and 4 course. Always trying different things.
Deck 4,3.2 were cabins. I was in cabin 4115, the bathroom was small as it should be on a ship the only complaint is that the floor of the toilet and shower was the same, after the shower you had to wipe the floor dry. the cabin was roomy enough. It felt good to unpack and do some washing. Each night we had an animal made out of towels on our bed. a swan, an elephant, a snake, and a turtle I took pictures of each one. our pyjamas were laid lot each night. my waist suddenly shunk in them.
I enjoyed rocking of the ship especially at night and it didn't worry me when back on land.
Breakfast was a buffet with far too much food to each. Lunch in the restruant were 3/4 course meals or a buffet on deck 9.
Dinner was in the restruant was also 3-4 course meals. the Food was excellent. We ate 1t 9.30pm after happy hour.
We did have very early morning starts to visits the island.
I will have to tell you about them in person as I have not kept a dairy to well on them.
To day has been another long one - a lot of travelling by coach. For lunch I had chicken soup and it was truely chicken taste.
I had better go not as other people will be wanting this
tomorrow we will travel to see the Parthenon - which is why i am on this holiday- do hope i am not disapointed as i have seen some magificant ruins.
Love to all
Kathleen
