Cross (Cruz)We climbed up to the cross which made for an amazing view of the coastline.
We planned to go to Granada for the day. However, due to factors beyond our control, we did not. Instead, we decided to walk around the city of Amuņecar for the day and run errands. We woke up early, but the boys were still asleep. We have decided that our motto for the trip is going to be, ĻWhen in Rome, do as the Romans doĻ. So in this spirit, we hung up our clothes that were in the dryer and then slept in late since we had been up late the night before.
We have made an important and difficult decision to become night showerers, at least on nights before we leave a place so our shower stuff can dry overnight and we donīt have to pack it wet and gross. So we got ready and walked along the coast. We were quite productive. We mailed more stuff home to lighted our load, we found pop for Kim, Christine got a postcard, we went to an internet cafe and posted blog pictures, we climbed a landmark hill with a giant cross on it (Christine found a cave there with a gypsy smoking something in it), and we went to
a grocery store to restock. While at the grocery store, we decided to buy the boys some toilet paper seeming as they were nervously low by girl standards.
By the time we climbed the hill to Erickīs house, we were hot, tired, and hungry. We made pasta and cheese tortellinis as best as we could (Ragu and Prego or anyother premade sauce does not seem to exist in Spain). We bought plain tomato sauce and added some random spices to try make it a bit more tasty and bearable. Then we took a siesta. When the boys went to practice, we took showers and started to pack. When Erick got back, we went to a little outside restaurant that served sangria and _______ (it looks like a big bagel with ham and cheese - Brusca? Rostra? We cannot remember the name). Today was the first day it rained in Almņecar (and for us) in quite some time, so nobody was out and about at night. We hadnīt gotten there until 12:30-1:00ish and as soon as we sat down and ordered, the other 5 people that were there left. The waiter was closing around us, stacking chairs, and he took

away our heat lamp pole. We took the hint, ate quickly, and walked home along the coast.
Since it was gloomy all day, we were nervous about our clothes drying in time. They had been on the line all day long. Although it sprinkled here and there, we still had hope for them. Perhaps it is a sign that laundry will never be our thing since a similar incident happened at Bethīs house.
Park in AlmuņecarWe walked around this park in search of a way to climb up to the castle. In the center of the park were old fish hatchery areas.
