Sorry it's been a while since I updated.....things have been busy! My program group went to Bunratty this weekend for a Medieval dinner in the castle. It was so much fun......all of the people that worked there were dressed in period attire. They served us a four course meal with mead to drink. It was really interesting time.
Afterward we went to the pub, Durty Nelley's.....it was built in the 1600's and it was so cute and quaint. While there, however, I got into a political argument with one of the drunk group members from South Carolina. He was VERY Southern and VERY drunk.......not a good combination. After about 40 minutes of arguing he basically told me that I was not allowed to have an opinion because I had grown-up in a nice, stable family........{It should be noted that he had said earlier that he had also grown up in a nice, stable family, and only had difficulties when he decided (on his own) to move out of his parent's house and support himself}......he even went so far as to call me a Southern Debutant......THE NERVE......I am a strong Southern woman.......dammit........he just couldn't deal with it because he knew I
was winning!!!!!!! MWAA HA HA HA!!!!! By the end of the night all we had really established is that Southern men (not gentlemen) can NOT hold their liquer!..............
The next day, we went to the Bunratty Folk Park......it is a villiage built in a period style......really quaint......I had such a great time walking around and getting pictures........as you can see, I got a little snap-happy.......enjoy!
Durty NellyThe site of my intense political argument.....turned (almost) bar fight!
Our Group......well those of us not too hungover to function.......
Cannons...positioned in front of the castle.....to keep those filthy Brits out!
