BarcelonaRiding bikes along the pier in Barcelona
Okay, So i havent updated this in a while. Again forgive me for spelling errors and lack of grammar, the keyboards are hard to get used to.
Where to begin. Since last updating we have been through Barcelona and flew over to Rome and and are now here in Interlaken.
When in Rome we went to the Vatican City, saw the Trevi fountain at morning and night, went to the Pantheon, had a guided tour of the Collosuem and Palantine hill and checked out the roman ruins, and ate way too much gelato, but that wasnt just rome, that was kinda of Italy in general.
We even went and heard the Pope speak on Sunday morning.
From Rome we went to Pompei which was a bit of a let down, we thought it would be like this preserved village, with lots of casts of people, its not really like that at all.
We had the best pizza i have had in my whole life in Naples, and it was only 4 Euro!
We then went to Florence. It was 10 Euro to see 'David' or to go to Pisa and see the leaning tower, and

no we werent going to be paying for both. So Pisa won out and I am glad it did, we saw the Italian countryside which was so beautiful, and the tower in Pisa really leans too, so that was pretty cool. Again, got more Gelatto and then went back to Florence.
From florence we trained it up to Venice and spent a couple of hours in Venice and then trained it to Interlaken, so in total about 10 hours on the train.
Interlaken is by far one of my favourite places we have been so far. It is this beautiful, classic village in the Swiss Alps. Speaking of which ains and I have actually been skiing in the Swiss alps for the past two days. There is SO much snow too, and the season hasnt evern opened yet, so only a couple of lifts are running. The photos dont do the views justice either.
Last night we went Ice Skating with a bunch of people from our hostel, and apart from ains's one deaf ear we had our first casualty last night. There was a three person pile up between me, ains and another guy, and I ended
ItalyColloseum, after the tour we wacted Gladiator, cos we had never seen it!
up with a nice rip in my jeans and a nice big cut from ains's ice skate right down my leg, but ains tells me chicks dig scars, so its not all bad.
We fly out to New York tomorrow, and then off to Toronto, so unfortunatley for me the Europe dream is over, but I get the feeling Europe and I will be seeing a lot of each other in the next year or so...
Now just from being here for the past month here are some things ains and I have noticed.
1. People in Europe are TERRIBLE drivers, and you can apparently park anywhere you want, as long as you put your hazard lights on.
2. Spain and Portugal are both full of groups of old men, the groups arent really doing anything, and there are no women to be seen, but random groups of old men, at the station, at the shopping centre, just everywhere, where are their wives!?
3. Europe is a theme park, its kinda hard to explain this one, but instead of going on rides, you go to Barcelona or to Paris, and you just keep seeing the
PisaIn our other pisa photos, yes we are pretending we are holding it up
same people at different rides, cos everyone goes to the same places.
4. There are no guys under 25 in Melbourne at the moment. About 75% of the aussies we have met (and there are a lot of them!) are guys, under 25 from Melbourne, and every one of them is going home on Christmas day or Christmas eve, just seems to be the thing to do.
Okay thats about it, check out more photos at myspace.com/naya88.
Also, for those of you who have contacted my via this firstly thanks! But I cant really figure out their system, so facebook, myspace, email etc is best.
Love,
naya x
