The old chickens weren't laying so well, so today Joan and I went up to the chicken farm for some of their rejects. The old girls have been well looked after and are safe in a "retirement" pen! The new ones are settling in well, and hopefully there'll be eggs again. (I have to say that the cold wind may have had something to do with the egglessness.)
