Chester was such a picturesque town with Medieval walls and a 14th century cathedral. We took pictures of some of the shop signs b/c they were so unusual. This was the first trip to Wales for both of us & we saw how the locals are keeping their language alive. All of their street signs are in both English & Welsh.

We finished the day @ Bodnant Welsh Food Centre in Conwy, Wales. They gave a cooking demonstration & the food was great. It's been unusually warm (85-95 degrees) everyday in the PM which is a heat wave for them.

I forgot to mention the other day when we visited the Castletown House & when the owner, Penelope, was describing the portraits in the house she said, "those are just some of Giles' smelly rellies". We howled-what a great English phrase.
