Bails Out! It was my Birthday weekend and also it coincided with a Stag party of one Stretcho and Mikey Boy's mates. David Bailey or Bails picked Chaddy and I up from our respective homes and we hit out on the highway. Chad wanted him to stop at an off License, so he could buy some cans of lager for the Journey. But Bails was having none it, he told him "F*ck off, if I can’t have a drink then you can’t" Bails was Old Skool Team Moston. He had moved out of the Manor to Longsight about 6 years [View Full Entry]

Voy a pasar mucho fríooo!!!!!!!!!! Acostumbrada al clima soleado de Sevilla, el tiempo nuboso de Gales va a suponer un cambio radical: nueve meses sin ver el sol, jaja. Veremos q tal va todo [View Full Entry]

Well, here we are, one day to go! Slightly annoyed that Cemaes Bay is not available as a location on the Blog, must not be the metropolis we locals make it out to be. Everything now packed, rucksack naturally weighs more than i thought it would but shouldnt be a problem. Somethings you only come to realise when your planning a trip like this...you get to spend a lot of time in your local post office, which is always nice and you have to deal with an awful lot of Utility Company based noddy not rights over the phone. But hey [View Full Entry]

Will, Bri, Heather, Andy
We're back with another installment of the Adventures of Will & Bri! This time our adventures included two friends: Heather, an American from Philadelphia and Andy, an Englishman from...England! Both of them are teachers at the same school as us. Heather teaches Math and Andy teaches P.E. Since it was a long weekend, we decided to avoid doing any work and go on a road trip to North Wales! Wales is a neighbouring country to England. We chose Wales as our destination for this long weekend because of our recent passport fiasco and the fact that we are not required to [View Full Entry]

I woke up this morning trying to figure out how was going to compose the next section of my 10,000 word lit review on fishing practices and how they have upset the species composition of skates and rays. I made myself a cup of coffee from coffee beans sent with love from Long Island and the smell of it remind me of my father. I wrote 1800 words this morning and I still have miles to go. I've been very neglectful of this blog. But those of you that know me well I'm sure that comes as no surprise. Here's what [View Full Entry]

We've Only Just Begun Europe » United Kingdom » Wales » Bangor
I'm here, finally, safe and sound! I can't believe its actually here. I've thought about this semester for years and its here! I'm actually in a different country and will be for the next 5 months. I hope I can summarize my adventures for you all here, and if you want to hear about anything more in depth, just let me know. Or if you have any questions just email me. Also let me know if you have a problem with any ranting, because I tend to say a lot when it really isn't all relevant and travel off on tangents [View Full Entry]

I've been all types of busy lately. Sorry for the delayed reaction time in the travel blogs. They really do CRAM a master's into one year. I'm working my little booty off. This module is about surveying planning. The marine biologists share this module with the marine environmental protection (MEP) master students, totaling with 26 students. We, as a team, are surveying Shell Island off the coast of mid-Wales. Shell Island has for major habitats, Rocky Shore, Sandy Shore, Mudflat and Saltmarsh. The 26 of us have split into four teams, respectively, to survey the entire island. I'm on [View Full Entry]

I feel like I should clarify that I am not actually living in Bangor. I barely even go to Bangor. I live on the Isle of Anglesey, in a small town call Menai Bridge that lives just along the Menai strait that separates Anglesey from North Wales. Maps in first blog. I only say this because I think Menai Bridge is hella prettier then Bangor. Joining the SCUBA club. I'll be getting a bunch of dives in once my semi-dry suit comes for my Birthday (thanks mom and dad). I'm looking forward to diving with Dog fish, apparently when you hold [View Full Entry]

Bangor - Week 1 Europe » United Kingdom » Wales » Bangor
As the saying goes, I am alive and well. Because of reasons unknown to me (and my amazing father), I found myself in a business class seat from JFK to Manchester. There was REAL food, and REAL space to stretch out and sleep. So I did. After having dinner, part 2, I slept almost soundly for most of the flight. The only real downfall of business class had nothing to do with Delta at all. It have everything to do with the woman sitting next to me trying to get me, on the flight, after I had informed her I was [View Full Entry]
